Good morning y’all! One thing I like to bring into my nutrition regimen when I’m trying to feel really healthy is this Green Goddess Smoothie. It is packed with fruits and veggies like granny smith apples, kale and bananas for an energizing drink any time of day. I like to have it in the mornings with eggs for breakfast, or in the afternoon for a little pick me up (especially after a workout).
Green Goddess Smoothie
Just toss the following into a blender and mix it up!
- 1 frozen banana
- 1/2 granny smith apple, peeled and sliced or diced
- 1 handful (cup) of kale
- 1 cup of liquid (your choice, I use unsweetened almond milk)
- Juice of half a lemon (optional)
Tip: For even colder and smoother smoothies, freeze all ingredients (except liquid and lemon) in a ziploc bag and toss the entire contents of the bag into the blender. Saves time too if you prep a bunch of bags at once!
