Hi.

Welcome to my journey to Boston. I'm counting down the days and the miles to the July 28 race to qualify!  It's going to take a little sprinkling of yoga, running and weights to get there, and I hope you find inspiration to add some or all of these to your own life!

Looks like this falling behind a little bit and then doing a big roundup is going to be a thing.  So, I'll skip the special feature writing of the day and just do a tiny recap of each day's tasks for the past week.

87. Wednesday

This was a scheduled FitCamp day, and I did the workout at 7am with my group - 3.2.  I've gone down in weight on my arms (can't remember if I've mentioned that), and will hold the weight steady at heavy on my legs for a few more weeks.  I did not sprint today, although I'm wanting to do that more frequently.....

86. Thursday

Tempo day!  Starting to look forward to these.  And kinda liking saving them for the evening.  After the last FitCamp class, I laid down on the stools to wait while my phone charged a bit and ended up falling asleep for 45 minutes!  Like drool rolling out of the mouth asleep.  But I got up and went out for my miles - felt great!  I finally did my accessory exercises for my hip afterwards.  I like to try to do those every time but so far we're 1/atleastadozen.

85. Friday

FitCamp 3.3 in the books!  And then a long ass roadtrip to head for my 23rd state.  There will be a whole separate post on that adventure, hopefully tomorrow.

84. Saturday

More driving.  Total rest day.  Some carb loading.

83. Sunday

Flying Pig half marathon (plus 7 before to get to 20!)  Full post on this probably tomorrow!

82. Monday

Total rest day.  I argued with this in my head for a while.  I wanted to get back in the routine of FitCamp and sprints but knew that a rest day would be the best option.  Teresa subbed my early morning class and I was able to (almost) make up for all the lack of sleep over the weekend by sleeping until 11 am!

81. Tuesday

I even debated extending the rest through today.  I had a little headache this morning and was still feeling sluggish from the weekend BUT was inspired by my StudiOne group and went out with them to tackle the mile repeats.  I definitely felt the effects of the long run from Sunday in the lack of spring in my step but managed to get 3 x 1600 in, all in the relatively low 7s.  Not upset about it, and glad to be back to somewhat of a routine!

Feeling pretty good - stay tuned for that race recap tomorrow (hopefully).
